THE IMPACT OF THE PANDEMIC ON UNEMPLOYMNET IN THE WORLD

Summary

The COVID-19 pandemic is seriously affecting economic activity around the world. In this context, the study uses an indicator such as global unemployment which has been impacted by the outbreak in the entire global economy. Global unemployment is analyzed in a time frame with the implementation of 2000-2019 and the forecast calculations for 2020-2021; thus, the consequences of the recent global crisis of 2008 and the coronavirus pandemic are compared. In addition, a negative picture is presented, which is expected to create a global scale of the coronavirus pandemic in the near future. The causes of malfunctions caused by the coronavirus pandemic are considered in the light of the numerical indicators and scenarios based on their results.
